2019-2020 Reading Reviews



When Presbyterian Women meet again next fall we will provide you an opportunity to share your thoughts on several of the books on our 2019 -2020 Reading List by participating in planned Book Review sessions. 

Need a refresher of what books are on the PW Reading List?  Just go to the Desert Palms church website ( and click on the Quick Link of "PW Reading List" found on the main page.


What books do we plan to discuss? When? 


Judy Beacon will lead a session November 7 at 10 a.m. on "Love in the Trenches" focusing on several of the WWll books.


Martie Outzen will lead a session January 20, 2020, from 10:00 - 11:30 a.m. on “Love and Secrets in Challenging Families" that will deal with the Weight of Secrets and the Pull of Motherhood. It will cover the following three books:

 1. "Educated, A Memoir" by Tara Westover

2. "The Great Alone" by Kristin Hannah 

3."Little Fires Everywhere" by Celeste Ng
