Quilt Group Information: First & third Thursday each month. 9:00-3:00 all year round

Quilt Group
Don’t forget the Quilt Group meets the first and third Thursdays every month from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in Fellowship Hall. On the third Thursday we share the area with the exercise group. It seems to be working out well.
Do come to see what we’re doing—even if you are not a quilter. If you have any questions, please contact Peggy Elmer.
QUILT GROUP
Through the diligent work of our quilting ladies, our home sewers, and those of you who donate various items (and money), we have had another successful year.
We have again sent 105 quilts to Mingus Mountain Academy. With all the stuffed animals that were given to us, we were able to make a lot of children happy. We sent two bags to Del Webb Emergency Hospital, three bags to Nadaburg School, and three bags to Mingus Mountain Academy. These were all large bags.
Our faithful quilting ladies got a good start in 2010 by making kits for our quilts. We now have a good supply for our home sewers. Many of our faithful ladies are also our home sewers. If you like to sew but are not particularly interested in quilting, perhaps you would like to become one of our home sewers. Our system for sewing the squares together is very easy. Stop in at Fellowship Hall on the first or third Thursday of the month, or give me a call and I will meet you during Coffee Hour any Sunday. I can quickly show you how we do it. We also have written instructions for you to take home as a reminder.
Again, thank you for all your help. As we have said before, this is a group project.

Something New
The Quilt Project 2010
This year the Quilt Group will be selling six handmade 55 X 65 quilts at the Fair with a Flair at the low price of $50. The monies donated will be used for quilting supplies such as a roll of batting at $100 and material for the borders etc. These quilts would make a great gift or keep and use on your bed or to cuddle up in on cold evenings.
For more information contact Peggy Elmer or Capi Francis.
