Caring for DPPC members and the community is part of our mission. A challenge for many in our faith community is having access to nutritious meals during health or life challenges. When these life challenges occur, making time for meal preparation all but disappears for those involved. As a faith community, we can tangibly give care to our community members journeying through these transitional seasons in a simple and yet profound way: through the gift of a meal.

MOJ’s Mission is to prepare fresh, tasty, home-delivered meals for seniors who are unable to prepare their own food, desire convenience or independent living, patients recuperating at home and after the loss of a loved one.

Meals of Joy currently delivers 740 meals to West Valley seniors weekly. Our dedicated DPPC Meals of Joy volunteers deliver on average 170 meals a month.  We are honored to be part of this amazing organization.

To do this, we need on-going volunteers who are willing to commit to bringing a meal to such individuals/families in our community. Meal volunteers will deliver (with their own transportation) meals prepared by our partner Meals of Joy to recipients homes.  We are currently delivering these meals on Wednesday and Friday.
