(Men of the Church)

On Tuesday, October 15, the Men of the Church will hold their first monthly breakfast meeting after our summer break at 8 a.m. in Fellowship Hall.

Our featured speaker will be a representative from All of Us Research Program, part of the Precision Medicine Initiative. This program is run by the National Institutes of Health (NIH), whose charge is to gather health information from over one million people. The University of Arizona and Banner Health are partners in this research effort.

Precision medicine is an innovative approach to disease prevention and treatment that takes into account individual differences in people’s environments, lifestyles, and genes.  Precision medicine gives clinicians tools to better understand the complex mechanisms underlying a person’s health, disease, or condition, and to better predict which treatments will be most effective. You will be given the opportunity to participate in this program, if you wish.

Please join us for breakfast and to hear this talk about a program that could have a profound effect on helping those in the generations that follow us.
