Angel Bees
New Quilting Group, Friday, October 19, 1 PM

Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”

Who knew we could make this work??

When we started this group under four months ago, with a huge goal of 100 quilts for the Angel Tree children this year, it seemed like an incredibly daunting task!  We started with three women. This seemed like a recipe for disaster, not a plan for perfection!

BUT, God sure knew!

Our group started growing, and we currently have about 14 quilting ladies, and have 76 completed quilts, ready to give!  We have many more in various construction stages, so by the time this article is printed, we may be there!  There are just too many ladies involved to name, but we are so grateful for everyone’s diligent work!  It could not have been done without every single person involved!  May you feel the unchanging and unconditional love of God and be blessed by the gifts you have made to enrich a child’s life.

What’s next??

We will see where the Spirit leads us – some ideas include boarding facilities for troubled children, Hospice or palliative groups for children, children with parents incarcerated, Policy and Fire Department, children moving into new Habitat homes … unfortunately, the needs are endless!

On Saturday, January 19, we will be having our first Angel Bees quilting day in Fellowship Hall to continue our work.  Please bring your machines, cutting devices, scissors or anything else needed for sewing.  We will have batting and fabric, along with high cutting tables and irons set up.  Please sign up at the Angel Bees booth in the Fellowship Hall.

If you have any questions, please reach out to Charlene Weir.
