Quilt Group

September is here and with that we expect to see our snowbirds returning. We welcome you back. This month the Quilt Group will be skipping the first Thursday, but we hope to see you on the third Thursday. That’s September 16, at the usual time, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in Fellowship Hall. 

In the past, many of you have asked if you could buy a quilt and we have said we could not sell them because of our so called quota. We now changed our minds as the ladies have been working so hard, we have some extras on hand. We have will have six quilts on sale at our Fair with a Flair, for $50 each. We find the cost of batting, fabric, and other supplies and the servicing of sewing machines is going up. This will help with our costs.

It will give you the opportunity to buy one for yourself or to give to a grandchild to cuddle up in.

Also, just a reminder that we are collecting stuffed animals again to be distributed to the children at Christmas. We thank you again for all your donations and support you give the Quilt Group.

Help! We need sheets—colorful sheets! We try to use colors that will blend in with the colors on the top of the quilts. Full size or larger. If a set comes with pillow cases, that’s fine. We pass the pillow cases on to New Life Shelter. Garage sales are a great place to pick up sheets.

We have a good group of ladies busy working while socializing. We meet in Fellowship Hall every first and third Thursday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
