QUILT GROUP

Have you heard? The Quilt Group sent 140 quilts to Mingus Mountain Academy this year—yes, 140 Quilts! That is remarkable for 23 ladies who meet twice a month, for eleven months, some who leave and come back during the year.

Of course, we could not do this without your help. Thank you for your donations of sheets, of fabric, and of course, money. We also want to thank you for all the animals you gave us. They were divided up between Mingus Mountain Academy, Nadaburg School, and the Emergency Department at Del Webb Hospital.

Mingus Mountain Academy was especially happy for the Beanie Babies. They make up a “Christmas Stocking” for each girl. After filling the stockings these will be put on the top with the head sticking out. Can’t you just picture how that will look?

After taking December off, we will be back in Fellowship Hall at 9 a.m. on the first and third Tuesday in January, February etc. Stop in and visit us. We usually stop and have coffee (and rest) around 10:30. We will be glad to meet you. For more information, please call Peggy Elmer.
