DPPC Packers

Volunteers travel to the Westside Food Bank three times each month to assist with handling and packing food stuffs to be distributed to the needy in Southwestern United States.

Desert Palms Scholarship Fund

Volunteers are mentors for young people/students who are scholarship recipients of our fianncial assistance.

Dysart Community Center

Volunteers providing assistance with after school and summer programs along with their Laubach Literacy Program at the Community Center, which teaches adults and teens the fundamentals of reading, writing, and speaking the English language.

Habitat for Humanity

Desert Palms sponsors Habitat for Humanity homes.  Members can volunteer with the construction of those homes as well as supporting the program monetarily.

Hospice

Volunteers provide comfort and company to the terminally ill.

Interfaith Services

Members can volunteer to assist and participate in the numerous community programs sponsored by Interfaith Service.  Desert Palms also provides monetary assistance.

Laubach Tutoring

Volunteers help adults learning to read.

Transportation

Volunteers provide transportation to members who need assistance getting to doctor's appointments, grocery stores, etc.

Visitation

Volunteers visit shut-ins or others that may be home bound
